Stars Season

PokerStars' generosity is there for all to see during the upcoming Stars Season, with the online poker giant giving away thousands of dollars in tournament tickets between October 27 and December 1. Boosted guaranteed prize pools are expected, too, adding even more value to PokerStars tournament grinders' schedules.

The Season features dozens of multi-table tournaments across 30 Episodes, running from October 27 to December 1. Throughout the Stars Season, some $350,000 worth of tickets will be awarded, including a quarter of a million dollars worth via the popular Ticket Machine promotion.

You receive one Ticket Machine entry once they opt-in to the promotion and play one Stars Season tournament within a calendar week. An additional ticket comes your way if they play another Stars Season event during the same week. Once you have your Ticket Machine entries, keep your fingers crossed on each Sunday, when the draw occurs.

Low, Medium, HIgh, and Overall leaderboards will award the top players $100,000 worth of tickets to the yet-to-be-announced New Year Series. The top prize for the best player throughout the Stars Season is a New Year Series ticket package worth a cool $22,000, including entries to all three Main Events.

Many online poker tournament players say, "Never miss a Sunday," and you shouldn't during the Stars Season because double leaderboard points are awarded on the final day of the week, with triple points up for grabs during the season's Finale.

Benjamin Spragg
Win a throwable Spraggy!

As you would expect, PokerStars Ambassadors will feature heavily during the Stars Season, with each hosting their own episodes throughout the Season. Bust one of the hosts from any of their episode's tournaments to receive a $109 seat to the $1.25 million guaranteed Stars Season Finale. You'll also receive an exclusive Spraggy throwable and entry to an All-in Shootout where someone will win a $2,500 New Year Series Silver Pass; who doesn't want to throw an animated Spraggy at their opponents?

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis is the PokerStars Ambassador who kicks off the Stars Season. Veldhuis has named the opening episode, which is dedicated to Progressive Knockout (PKO) tournaments, "The Terminator."

"I love bounty events because they add an extra layer to play," Veldhuis said. "Everybody is forced to play more hands and get involved in bigger pots. It's a unique format that promotes aggression and loose play – just my style, and a perfect way to launch Stars Season!"

PokerStars Power Path

Running alongside PokerStars' usual array of satellites, you'll have the chance to play in Stars Season events you may not be bankrolled for by getting involved in Power Path. The four-step program runs daily and will award Silver Passes worth $2,500 and Gold Passes valued at $10,300.

Power Path allows players of all skill and bankroll levels to take a shot at the big time. During the recent World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP), Danish player "AresVaettur" started at the $1.50 buy-in level and went on to take down the WCOOP 63-M: $530 NLHE 6-Max Turbo for $36,161 and their first WCOOP title! See, it does happen!
